Andy Baynes

Director of Business Development and Energy Efficiency, Nest Labs

 

 

Andy Baynes joined Nest Labs in 2012 as Director of Business Development and Energy Efficiency. Prior to Nest, Andy was Director of Environmental Technologies at Apple. During his eleven years at Apple, Andy was responsible for product design programs that helped Apple achieve a number of industry firsts including, the elimination of toxic chemicals, the setup of free take-back and recycling programs worldwide, achieving Energy Star certification across all products as well as setting a new industry reporting standard by reporting full life-cycle greenhouse gas emissions for all products.

 

Andy received the 2010 GEELA Award for Environmental Design excellence as well as Clean Production Action's Green Chemistry Award. He holds a Master of Science in Environmental Technology from Imperial College in London.
