John Panzer

Director of the Global Practice for Macroeconomics and Fiscal Policy, World Bank

 

 

John Panzer is Director of the Global Practice for Macroeconomics and Fiscal Policy.  In this capacity Mr. Panzer is responsible and oversees the analytic and advisory services as well as budget policy operations for Africa, Latin America and the Caribbean, and the Middle East and North Africa. 

 

Prior to holding this position he was Manager of Poverty Reduction and Economic Management for Southern Africa, and Manager of the Bank's International Trade Department.  He is a national of Chile and holds a PhD in Economics from the University of Chicago.
